USDT at Ninja: a stable coin, an unforgiving network choice

USDT, also known as Tether, is a stablecoin designed to track the US dollar. For casino payments it solves one problem of crypto — the price swings — and introduces another that catches many people out: USDT is issued on several blockchains, and the network you choose has to match the address exactly. If USDT appears in the Ninja cashier for your account, this page explains how to use it safely in both directions. The set of methods and limits depends on the account — check the cashier. Shared crypto rules are on the crypto page, all methods on the payments overview, and the overall guide on the home page.

Depositing USDT

In the cashier, select USDT and read the network shown next to the deposit address. In your wallet or exchange, choose the same network when you withdraw from there. Paste the address with the copy button, check the beginning and the end, and include a memo or tag if the cashier shows one. Send a small amount first if you have never used this cashier before. Network fees and confirmation times differ between blockchains, so the same coin can be cheap and quick on one network and slower or more expensive on another.

Because USDT follows the dollar, a euro-based account converts it at the dollar–euro rate when the deposit is credited. That is a smaller movement than Bitcoin's price, but it still exists, in both directions.

Withdrawing USDT

A USDT payout request goes through Pending, Processing, Approved and Sent like any other withdrawal. The operator's review — identity verification before the first payout, checks on bonuses and, for larger sums, on the source of funds — is the same as for bank methods; in Estonia the identity part typically uses the ID card, Smart-ID or Mobile-ID. When you enter the receiving address, choose the network carefully again: the cashier usually offers specific networks for payouts, and your wallet must support the one you pick. After the payout is sent, the transaction ID shows its progress on the network's explorer.

Many cashiers prefer to pay crypto back in the same coin, and sometimes to the address you deposited from. If you deposited with a card or bank transfer, the closed-loop rule may send the deposited amount back that way first. The payment terms decide.

USDT questions

Which USDT network should I use?
Exactly the one the cashier names next to the address. USDT exists on several blockchains, and sending it on a different network than the address expects can mean the deposit is never credited.
Does USDT protect my winnings from price swings?
Largely, against crypto swings, because USDT tracks the US dollar. For euro users the dollar–euro exchange rate still applies, and a stablecoin carries its own issuer risk.
Can I be paid out in USDT if I deposited by card?
That depends on the operator's payment terms. Many cashiers return money to the deposit method first, so a card deposit may need to be refunded to the card before another payout method is used.
