Bonus terms decoded: the clauses that decide your payout
Bonus terms and conditions are long, but only a handful of clauses decide whether a bonus ends in a withdrawal or in a confiscated balance. This page lists those clauses, explains what each one usually means and shows where they bite. It is a reading guide, not a summary of Ninja's terms: the operator publishes general bonus rules and specific terms for each offer, and those documents are what count. Keep a copy of the version you accepted. The overview of offers is on the bonus page, and the home page has the full guide.
The clauses that matter
| Clause | What it usually means | Where it bites |
|---|---|---|
| Wagering requirement | Total stakes needed before bonus money becomes withdrawable | Withdrawal blocked or bonus removed if unfinished |
| Maximum bet | Stake limit per spin or round while a bonus is active | One oversized bet can void the bonus and its winnings |
| Maximum cashout | Cap on what can be withdrawn from bonus play | Large wins trimmed to the cap at conversion |
| Game weighting | How much each game counts towards wagering | Play on low-weight games barely moves the requirement |
| Excluded games | Titles that do not count or may not be played with a bonus | Winnings on them can be voided |
| Expiry | Days available to finish wagering | Remaining bonus and its winnings removed |
| Excluded payment methods | Deposits that do not qualify for the offer | Bonus never credited, or removed later |
Sticky and non-sticky bonuses
A non-sticky (or "parachute") bonus keeps your deposit and the bonus separate: you play with your own money first, and if you win before touching the bonus, you can usually withdraw and forfeit the bonus. A sticky bonus is added to your balance for play but can never be withdrawn itself — on cashout, the bonus amount is deducted. For example, with a hypothetical sticky bonus of 50 euros and a balance of 300 after wagering, the withdrawable amount would be 250. Which type applies is written in the terms, and it changes the value of an offer considerably.
Wagering caps and conversion
When wagering is complete, the bonus balance is converted into real money. Some terms limit the conversion to a multiple of the bonus or to a fixed maximum; anything above is removed. This is the maximum cashout seen from the other side, and it is the clause most often discovered too late. Our wagering guide shows how to calculate the requirement itself.
"Irregular play" clauses
Most terms contain a broad clause against bonus abuse: betting patterns that cover both sides of a game, switching to low-risk play to finish wagering, opening several accounts, or playing excluded games to inflate results. The wording is often vague, which is exactly why it is worth reading. If you are unsure whether a style of play is allowed with a bonus, ask support in writing before you play, and keep the answer.
How this affects your withdrawal
These clauses are applied at the review stage of a withdrawal — while the request shows as Processing. That is when the operator checks wagering, maximum bets, game choice and caps, and that is when a request can be reduced or refused. Everything you can do to avoid that happens earlier: read the terms before opting in, keep stakes within the maximum bet, play counted games, and finish or forfeit the bonus before requesting a payout. If a request is reduced and you believe the terms were applied wrongly, ask for the specific clause in writing; the withdrawal guide and the complaints page describe the next steps.
